BHPR AGM 2009
You should have received a copy of the BHPR AGM agenda and papers, along with election ballots for President-Elect. Click here to access the papers,* the Annual Report and full copy of the proposed amended Constitution. For a hard copy of the Annual Report or Constitution email bhpr@rheumatology.org.uk with your full postal address or let us know if you would like to pick up a copy at the AGM.

Call for 2010 BHPR conference symposium proposals
We are now inviting symposium proposals for the 2010 BHPR conference. These should be based on a topic of interest to the BSR/BHPR audience, include cutting edge information to inform practice or research in the musculoskeletal field and last for 60, 90 or 120 minutes in total. Contact Keri Hutchison, keri.hutchinson@cardiffandvale.wales.nhs.uk or Ross Wilkie r.wilkie@cphc.keele.ac.uk for more details. Please submit proposals by 30 June 2009.
arc AHP prizes for 2010!
Each year arc offers five prestigious prizes to AHP's to encourage research activities. Prizes include an arc silver medal, certificate and a cheque for £500. They are a good way of demonstrating your abilities to your current and future employers, help when applying for courses or grants and look good on your CV!

How Does Rheumatoid Arthritis Need To Be Managed?
The Royal College of Physicians is promoting a joint conference with BSR on Thursday 18 June 2009 in London. Click here for more details
RA self management programme
Working alongside the Expert Patient Programme, NRAS has successfully completed a dummy run and two pilot schemes for the first self management programme designed specifically for people with RA.
There will be a session on this programme at the BSR on Wednesday 29 April from 12.00 - 13.30 in the Lomond Auditorium.

Perceptions of patients and professionals on rheumatoid arthritis care, a consultancy report by the King’s Fund for the Rheumatology Futures Group (RFG) was published in January 2009.
