NRAS inthe North West in November

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society conducted a series of patient meetings in the North West area in early November.
Starting with a fantastic meeting hosted by the team at the Kellgren Centre for Rheumatology at the Manchester Royal Infirmary where there was standing room only with 70 people in attendance. The University Hospital Aintree played host to our second meeting and the third meeting was held in Stockport and supported by the unit from Stepping Hill Hospital.

All three evening meetings were open to patients, their partners, carers and families. Presentations from the consultants and members of the multi-disciplinary team gave the attendees the opportunity to learn more about their own disease, the services available locally and the future treatments and developments in the field of Rheumatology.

As a result of these three meetings NRAS hope to be able to establish new NRAS groups in this area of the North West. For information about holding similar meetings in your area call the volunteer network team on 0845 458 3969.

We welcome contributions to the e-newsletter from BHPR members! Please contact Sally Thomas
