arc Podiatry Silver Medal
Awarded for research of the highest quality and contribution to rheumatology/musculoskeletal related podiatry practice. The arc Silver Medal and a cheque for £500, awarded by arc, is specific to the HPC registered podiatry profession. The award is administered on behalf of arc by the Podiatry Rheumatic Care Association (PRCA). Email rfield@nhs.net for an application form. The closing date is Thursday 22 October 2009. The aim of this issue is to collate one collective issue of reviews and to invite the contribution of original research that will add to this area of basic and clinical investigation. RCN Rheumatology Forum Conference 25th - 26th January 2010, Grand Hotel, Brighton ‘Complex Disease the broader scope of Rheumatology Nursing for Novice to Experts’ will look at some of the key issues we all face in rheumatology. The sessions include: future treatment options in inflammatory arthritis, legal issues in expanding roles and prescribing, review of connective tissue disease. Workshops will be aimed at both advanced and novice nurses and will include imaging, understanding osteoporosis, neurological complications in RA and joint counts. NRAS Patients in Focus Awards 2010 Application forms are now available for the 2010 awards, they can be downloaded from the NRAS website www.rheumatoid.org.uk or by calling the NRAS office on 0845 458 7650. Entry is open to all rheumatology professionals, including consultant led teams and to primary care professionals who provide care to people with Rheumatoid Arthritis The awards will be open for entries from Monday 14th September 2009 and will close on Friday 29th January 2010. The winning entry will receive a bursary of £1500 to be used for educational purposes. We know you’re all under pressure and extremely busy but this really is very straightforward to enter and we know that there are lots of teams out there doing great work, so we’d love to hear from you. |
